Historical Romance
At last year’s Romance Writers of America conference in San Antonio, Texas, a group of historical romance authors banded together on a mission to promote our sub-genre. Thus, the Historical Romance Network was formed by over two hundred historical romance authors with a mission:
to raise the visibility of the genre, to understand & breakdown misconceptions about the genre, to show the relevance of historical romance to the modern reader, and to help readers find the excitement these stories hold.
And exciting they are! I invite you to check out two free books of excerpts put together by members of the Historical Romance Network, both available on Amazon. The Governess Romance features ten historical romance excerpts. I found a new fav author, Deb Marlowe, from this book!
There’s also Cats on the Keyboard, featuring authors’ stories about their own cats, along with excerpts from their books.
My own little guy, Henry, has his story in this free book, along with an excerpt from my historical romance, Bella’s Band.
Thursday, I’m featuring another historical author, Cynthia Owens, who has a new historical romance out, set in Ireland. Check back then!
And if you have a chance to read my little Henry’s story, let me know what you think of it!
