Five Ways to Win my Heart: #MFRWAuthor Blog Challenge, Week 37
How to Win my Heart in Five Easy Steps:
Yay! A topic that requires a list!
Since I’m gnashing my teeth and pulling my hair out to meet a deadline, I’m going to be more brief and succinct than usual for this week’s Blog Challenge topic.
Be Positive
I’m talking about seeing the glass half full, keeping your eyes on the goal, not getting stuck in worries and spending the precious hours of our time together lamenting.
Make me Laugh
and spare me from pomposity and elitism!
Be Kind/Forgive Me
Especially when I screw up, which happens quite often.
Have an Attitude of Gratitude and Take Time to Enjoy the Present
It’s good to keep your eyes on a goal, but it’s also good to take some moments and look around at what you have and what you’ve accomplished.
Remember my Birthday
Or anniversary. Or some special shared moment. And no purchase is required–kind words are the best gift of all!
I’m pretty deficient in all of the above, which is probably why I want to hang out with people who are better at these things!
Romantically Speaking:
The kind of love I’m talking about today is Philia (friendship), but if I were talking about Eros (romantic/sexual love) I’d still include these points, if I’m talking about my heart.
If I’m talking about my hero and heroine’s romance, that’s another list. I might just need a brooding, pessimistic, crabby guy to find a girl who can pull him out of his funk!
This is a blog hop, so hop along with my fellow MFRW Authors to see what they have to say on this topic:

I soooooo forgot about the whole ‘remember important dates like anniversary and birthday’!! Great list!
Thanks for stopping by!
Great post!!
Thanks, Valerie!
I also forgot the remember important dates. Although I have to admit hubs is pretty good about that.
I’m the worst! I have to write things down or they just slip by.
LOL. You were glad this topic required a list, while other folks hate the idea of lists.
Different strokes for different folks!
An attitude of gratitude. Love it!
It’s so easy to fall into woe-is-me.
Great list, Alina. I see a few of my list points, but mine didn’t get posted this week. I love the crabby guy part under “Romantically Speaking.”
Nothing better than a challenging hero!
Considering I like to treat my birthday like a national holiday, remembering it is very important. The Hubs learned that a long time ago. I don’t need gifts, but I do take off and not want to do anything for the day.
Great list! I wish more people were positive and kind to each other (and had an attitude of gratitude).
