Two Unforgettable Romances in a Boxed Set
Unforgettable Romance
Last year I got back the rights for my second published story, Bella’s Band and republished the story with a new title, Courted by the Earl, and a beautiful new cover.
My third published story, Liliana’s Letter, happened to be a prequel story to Courted by the Earl. (Sometimes the muse works out of order!) Both Liliana’s Letter and Courted by the Earl are stand-alone romances. There is however, an unsolved murder in Liliana’s Letter which wraps up in Courted by the Earl.
I’m excited to finally be able to offer both stories in a boxed set. As an added bonus, I’m including a relating short Halloween story, The Ghost of Depford Hall.
Liliana’s Letter
The Matchmaker
A promise to his long-dead sister forces Lord Grigsby back into society to broker the marriage of his disreputable nephew to the heiress whose money can save the earldom.
The Matchbreaker
Liliana Ashford’s mission is to help an heiress pass muster with the ton and snare a titled husband. Though, if she had a magic wand, she’d turn her charge’s fiancé back into the toad he truly was.
Scandal and a New Match
But she never wished for him to die! As the Earl’s sordid death evokes the scandal of the season, a shadow from Liliana’s own past appears, threatening her carefully crafted world. Grigsby sets about finding his nephew’s killer…and Liliana’s secrets. Meanwhile, she scrambles to make a new match for the girl. Because finding a husband of her own is out of the question—or is it?
Courted by the Earl
Bullets, blades, and incendiary bombs—Major Steven Beauverde, the latest Earl of Hackwell, belongs in that world, and is determined to get back to it. His brother’s murder has forced Steven into a new and completely unwanted role, and worse, he has no idea how to salvage his family’s depleted estate. A rumor that his brother had a son by a woman who may be a) the murderer, and b) his brother’s secret wife, sets Steven on a mission to find her, the boy, and—Steven ardently hopes—the proof of a marriage that will set him free.
Confirmed spinster Annabelle Harris is a country heiress with a penchant for taking in orphans and helping the downtrodden. Her philanthropy hides her desperate search for her disgraced sister, the mistress to the Earl of Hackwell. When the Earl is murdered, her sister thrusts her child into Annabelle’s care and disappears. Now, with suspicion pointing at the sister, Annabelle has begun a new quest, to find the woman, and clear her name.
When their paths converge, the reluctant Earl and the independent spinster find themselves rethinking their goals, and battling the real murderer together.
The Ghost of Depford Hall
It’s her mother’s last All Hallows’ Eve.
When family, friends, and tenants gather, goblins, ghouls, and ghosts are banned from this All Hallows’ Eve party. Only, no one told the Ghost of Depford Hall!
This sweet Regency short story is a sequel to Liliana’s Letter.
