THE INVENTOR’S HEART, #NewRelease — 9 Comments

  1. Oh, Kara, how inspiring! I am so glad you didn’t give up!
Good luck and God’s blessings with this new addition to your Pike’s Run series!

  2. Kara, I’m from a family of dyslexic people. I’m so pleased you spotlighted this problem. An elderly woman in our church once mentioned punishing a student because he couldn’t pass the spelling test, which in turn caused his father to literally beat him with a razor strap when he got home. When I explained what dyslexia was, she was horrified. She felt bad that she had punished him for something he couldn’t help. It made me realize how many students got punished and/or dropped out of school because of dyslexia.

    • Yes, it breaks my heart when I think of the people who suffered because we just didn’t know things yet. What happened to this child is so sad, but they didn’t know better. I’m glad people started looking. And, of course, we are imperfect so we are still struggling to do things right.

  3. Aw, what an inspiring story. It’s funny how one remark or kindness from someone can have such an impact. Sounds like another great read. Congratulations!!
