Help Raise Money for Literacy Programs at #Readers4life at #RWA16
A Mega Book Signing
Tomorrow, July 13th, will be jam-packed with two events kicking off the 2016 Romance Writers of America national conference. I’ll be attending the Mini-conference of The Beau Monde Chapter of RWA and participating in the Readers for Life Literacy Autographing.
I blogged about this mini-conference last month, so this post is devoted to the book signing. And honestly, I can’t say it any better than Romance Writers of America does:
At the “Readers for Life” Literacy Autographing, hundreds of romance authors meet with and sign books for fans in this two-hour event, with the proceeds from book sales going to literacy organizations. This year’s beneficiaries are ProLiteracy Worldwide and the San Diego Council on Literacy.
In 2015, Romance Writers of America raised more than $48,000 to benefit literacy programs — bringing our total donations since 1990 to $961,300.Help RWA hit our $1 million goal for literacy donations!
The 2016 Literacy Autographing event will be July 13, 2016, at the San Diego Marriott Marquis & Marina, San Diego, California. The event will feature over 450 romance authors who will be autographing their latest works. Authors who are anticipated to participate include Nora Roberts and Sylvia Day.
If you’re a romance fan and you live in the San Diego area, please try to attend. Here are the details:

Since my first two books are only available in electronic format, this is my first time taking part in the Literacy Event. I’ll be signing copies of Liliana’s Letter. And stay tuned to my Facebook page and my Twitter feed on Thursday, July 14th for the results of the National Readers’ Choice Award finals.
La Belle Assemblée Updated
My dress for the soiree is done, my dancing slippers are ready, and my headpiece has a bouncy ostrich plume.
Author Cara King will be calling the dances and has promised to teach us a quadrille, or at least part of a quadrille, La Pastourelle from Paine’s First Set. If you are wondering what that looks like, here is a link to an ensemble of professional dancers performing La Pastourelle.
If you’re attending the Literacy Event, please stop by my table, say hello, and snag a piece of chocolate. No purchase necessary!
