Are You a Fan of Book Trailers?
I made a book trailer!
There’s a fabulous service for indy authors called BookBrush. It’s not inexpensive, but factoring in the cost of hiring out promotional images, etc. it’s a good value.
Providing one sits down and learns the software!
I’ve been able to do easy things, like the image above, and some that are more complicated, like covers for boxed sets.
I’d taken a stab at Book Trailers when that service first became available and was never able to master the process. But, under pressure of a promotional deadline, I finally put my bottom into the chair for two afternoons, experimenting and reviewing an old webinar (more than once!). The result is the trailer for my April 12th release, Claims of the Heart.

What do you think?
I also figured out how to set up my YouTube channel.
I’m going to have to populate it with more videos! What would you like to see?
I for one, would like to see my books starring in videos more like this fantastic one from author Lauren Smith: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3WGI6uMN-8
I’ll have to spend a lot more time at my computer!
I do like book trailers, though I rarely watch them. I liked the one you did. Great job! However, I love the video that Lauren Smith did. I’m not sure if she did it herself, or hired out someone to do it for her. Everything tied together beautifully. The music, snow and even the people. Thanks for sharing. I never would have seen it if you hadn’t posted it. It’s something I’d love to be able to do, but I need to finish writing my new book first. Priorities, priorities.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting.
I saw a comment from Lauren Smith that her brother who works in the film industry helped her with that trailer. It IS spectacular!
